Sean Rodgers 5th Dan TAGB

Sean Rodgers joined the TAGB in 1996 and started his Taekwondo training with Tim Hobin. He also attended regular training sessions with the Chairman of the TAGB, Grandmaster Dave Oliver. He qualified for 1st Dan in 1999. During his training Sean competed in and won many national tournaments including the English, Welsh, Scottish, Northern Ireland and British Championships.

In 2004 Sean travelled to train in Korea, the home of Taekwondo. He went to the Yong Yin university in Seoul where he learnt new techniques and honed his already existing ones. 

Sean has been a member of the TAGB England squad for 10 years, training with Kenny Walton and Ralph Minott. An experienced taekwondo fighter he has competed internationally throughout Europe and also Russia and the USA.

2002 Competed at the TAGB World Championships in Miami winning Bronze

2004 Part of the England select team for the TAGB 20th Anniversary winning Gold

2005  Won Silver at the World Championships in Cardiff

2007 Part of the England squad at the World Championships in Birmingham wining the team event on home soil

2007 Won gold and became European Champion in Eindhoven, Netherlands

Won Gold at the WTF in Barcelona and also Gold in Poland, Germany and Holland
